    Hello Nicole.
Even tho i’ve been loving your content, my comment isn’t really related, so feel free to delete it if you want!
My name is Julia, I study social work in Switzerland and I am currently in my second year of bachelor. I have the opportunity to go for a 5 months work experience abroad with my university. Most of my friend have decided to fly to Canada but i want to do something different.
However, nobody has ever done that in my university and i have no contacts in the country so it is difficult for me to know where to look for a job. I found many programs to volunteer but i am looking for a job with qualified social worker.
You might have no idea what i’m talking about but who knows, maybe you have any recommendation!
    Thanks for reading ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi Nicole!

I’ve been looking to travel and broaden myself on a global level. I’ve actually been really focused on visiting Cape Town, South Africa! Any places you’d recommend for a 23 year old? I love to hike and explore wilderness (I want to climb Table Mountain), I also want to visit an animal sanctuary/reserve and be able to find exotic animals in an ethical environment! I also have surfing on my bucket list but I don’t know how! I also want to be able to experience the city life, the beaches, wilderness, and learn about the culture along the way!

I’m from Ottawa, Canada and noticed that you’re in Toronto/Montreal this week! Hope you’re enjoying our beautiful country – don’t forget to try our delicious beavertails pastry and explore Algonquin Park (pronounced “Al – gone – quinn”)!

I keep watching your videos and they continue inspire me to go out and enjoy the world!

    • Rosa

Actually – just did a little bit of navigating and found your list of top things to do! Super insightful and definitely gives me a guide to plan my trip <3

Hey Nicole, I wanted to write and say how much Im enjoying your posts and also your vlogs!
My brother introduced me to Jeremy Loops (not literally) on New Years Eve and since then I have discovered Ben Brown and yourself. I know this sounds totally emosh but your posts, Ben’s vlogs and Down South have inspired me to make some changes in my life and as a dual South African/UK citizen I have decided to relocate back to Cape Town!! I’ve been living in the UK for 19 years since I was 10 and before I discovered all you guys I never really thought about returning to SA but the ball is now rolling, Im so excited and all you guys have been so inspiring.
Carry on doing what you’re doing! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Nicole Eddy

Thanks Stephanie ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m happy that we can provide you with a little piece of home, and maybe some sun! x

    • Nicole Eddy

      Thanks Rohan ๐Ÿ™‚ Appreciate it!

  • Joe Balsamo

Your backpacking trip through Thailand, Vietnam etc… inspired me to do a trip like that.
Being from the states it seems more difficult to set something like this up. Was there a travel agency or a tour that you did? I dont even know where to start…lol.

    • Nicole Eddy

      Hi Joe,

I actually didn’t backpack through Asia, the only backpacking that I did was through Europe. Nevertheless I would say its easily doable without a travel agent. Maybe just grab a couple of mates, plan rough route & set sail ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope this helps & sorry its late!

  • Dorothy

hey nicole! I really want to visit cape town and since you’re a local, could you do like best eats/adventures? ๐Ÿ˜€

    • Nicole Eddy

Hey Dorothy ๐Ÿ™‚ I wrote previous blog post about my favourite things to do in Cape Town, so go check that out ๐Ÿ™‚ Otherwise, restaurants that I would recommend would be Cafe Orca in Melkbosstrand ( best seafood), StrandKombuis in Yzerfontein, it’s a bit of drive but the scenery is amazing. Latitude 33 in Bree Street is pretty great too ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Hey Nicole, I should interview you for STillStoked! You surf and are a huge inspiration ๐Ÿ™‚
