Peanut Butter Bomb

Welcome to ‘Healthy Living’! So, I’ve decided to introduce a new section into my blog called ‘Healthy Living’ due to the frequent questions that I get asked regarding my smoothies and salads. Instead of replying to everyone, I thought, ‘Hey Nicole, just put it in your blog’. And that’s exactly why you are reading this!

There are two things that you should know before you continue onto the world of healthy goodness. I am not cheffy. In fact I would probably be the first to be voted off of Masterchef due to boredom, burnt food and tasting everyone else’s dishes. In saying this, I can make a killer chocolate caramel cake but unfortunately that isn’t going to help anyone here. The second thing is that I am not following a diet, or banting or any other food deprived lifestyle, so these recipes include what makes me feel good after a gym or surf session.

I hope you enjoy.

Peanut Butter Bomb

  • ½ a Banana
  • 1 Smallish Green Apple
  • 1/3 Cup Almond milk (any milk is fine)
  • ½ Cup Greek Yoghurt (can substitute with frozen yoghurt, the healthy kind)
  • 5 Whole Almonds
  • 1/3 Cup Raw Oats
  • Sprinkle of Chia Seeds (this keeps me full)
  • ½ Teaspoon Peanut Butter
  • Ice (if frozen yoghurt was not used)

I basically use any fruit that it’s in the house. Berries and papaya are good alternatives too. There are no right or wrong recipes when it comes to smoothies, as long as your ingredients are healthy and don’t contain too much sugar!
